Computer Designs Systems Services, Ltd.

CDSS was incorporated in June 1989 as a full fledged Limited Liability Company and became AutoCAD Authorized Resellers for Nigeria in December of the same year. From inception we set out to pioneer efforts in Engineering Drawing Office Computer-Based Solutions and Services which were sorely lacking in the country at the time. Principally, efforts were focused on Computer-Aided-Design (CAD); an area of computing that the Managing Director was exposed to while on assignment in United States of America, as a young civil engineer with a multi-disciplinary team of Architects and Engineers called AIM Consultants (of which he is now a Director), in 1986. CAD deals specifically with the production of Technical Documents (Drawings, Designs, etc…) with Computers, utilizing graphics as the principal form of data input. This area of Computer application was embraced initially by the Petroleum Industry (namely Mobil, Chevron, and Shell...) and the attendant group of Petroleum Service companies in the early 90's. Since then, the Building/Construction Industry (by association) was forced to follow suite, with Architects taking the lead.
